Ophtocycline® 10mg/g Eye Ointment for Dogs, Cats and Horses is used in the treatment of conjunctivitis, keratitis and blepharitis infections in the eye caused by bacterial infections. For horses, dogs, and cats, apply in the conjunctival sac four times a day for five days, or as advised by your vet. It is for use as a treatment in the eyes only. If there is no improvement in the condition in three days, it is recommended that alternative medicine is sought.

The active ingredient in the ointment is chlortetracycline hydrochloride which is known as a bacteriostatic antibiotic which works by interfering with bacterial protein synthesis in the fast-growing bacterial cell.
